~ General Health Information ~
All babies will be de-wormed several times, have all age appropriate vaccinations and micro chipped! All our babies are fully evaluated and checked by our Vet.
All puppies come with limited AKC Registration and are sold on spay/neuter contracts only. Contracts agreeing to this must be signed before taking your puppy home.
We do not place a time on when you should have your puppy spayed/neutered, but we do recommend talking with your veterinarian and following their guidance when it comes to spay/neuter. Most veterinarians will recommend spay/neuter at 6 months to 1 year of age, but this recommendation is not the same for all veterinarians.
We reserve the right to refuse to sell our puppies to anyone, at anytime, without a reason given.
We require that all puppies be seen by your personal veterinarian within 15 days after receipt of the puppy to have him/her examined or health guarantee is null and void. We understand that many practices can be booking appointments out for quite some time. If your veterinarian cannot get you in within the time frame, please let us know the date of your scheduled appointment the time of puppy pick-up so we can notate it on your contract. We recommend taking your puppy portfolio, given at the time of pick-up, to the veterinarian with you, so they have access to all prior health documentation. In the unlikely event that your puppy is found by your Veterinarian to be seriously ill within this time period, you may request an exchange upon returning the puppy to us. If no more puppies are available in your litter, you will have first pick in next litter. We do NOT refund money for a puppy for any reason, but will replace a puppy if there is ever a serious health issue (Note: While we do everything we can to prevent internal and external parasites, positive results for parasites, including Worms, Giardia, Coccidia, fleas, ticks, etc. are not a reason to return or refund a puppy. These types of parasites, while annoying, are easily curable).
As stated on your contract, puppies should not be in contact with any other unvaccinated dog until they are fully vaccinated (approx. 16 weeks of age). We will not be responsible for ANY contagious disease contracted after the puppy has left our care. Remember that Dog Parks and puppy training classes can cause health issues to your puppy, due to the high frequency of dogs. Also visiting another dog that does not have all of their required vaccinations and/or parasite control, can be detrimental to your puppy's health. We recommend that you keep your puppy home until they complete their Distemper, Lyme, Canine Influenza, Bordetella and Rabies vaccination series. This way your baby is fully protected.
